POWER IN HEAVEN AND EARTH text: Matthew 28:18-20

INTRODUCTION:
This scripture reveals the last assignment that the LORD Jesus, the Messiah gave to us, His Church. It also reveals His continuing influence over the affairs of this earth and the heavens over the earth. We must take time therefore to get all the details of this private and dear assignment of the LORD so that we will be able to accomplish our divine assignment.
A. THERE IS AN ASSIGNMENT We require power to accomplish the assignment. The reason we need power is because we will encounter stiff and sometimes frightening resistances. Matt. 28:18, 19-20, Matt. 13:31-32, 38, Matt. 13:47-50, II Cor. 4:3-4, Jer. 51 :20-24, Jer. 51 :25, Isa. 41:13-16, Jer. 10:11.
B. A FIGHTING TEAM MUST UNDERSTAND THE OBJECTIVE It must understand what is at stake. It must be disciplined and committed. Lk. 10:19, I In. 4:16, Matt. 13:50, Jer. 48:10, Rev. 12:11, Ps. 119:78,95,98.
CONCLUSION You must be salt of the earth, not only a light of the world. And do well to notice the order of what the Lord said in Matt. 5:13. God bless you and be with you. AMEN
